Having two kids of my own I know how difficult it can be to get kids to eat healthy. With all the variety of junk food and wildly colorful cereal boxes, how do we get our kids to make healthier choices?

By leading by example.

It’s just that simple. Make healthy choices for yourself! Don’t stock junk food in the house. I understand there are certain situations where you may share space with more than just your family. Create a cabinet just for your family.

So you are too busy to make lunch every morning? Consider the alternative- pizza, macaroni and cheese, cheese burgers and more unhealthy, fat-loaded food are waiting at school for your child. Get your kids involved. Have them help you make lunches. Find out what they like.

So, what would be more healthy for your child at lunch time? A green leafy salad with hard boiled eggs or maybe a veggie sandwich with an apple. There are tons of ideas out there. All of which you can learn from me. I specialize in families on the go!
